A goal(rambling)

I've thought about it for a long time now(as I'm sure a lot of others have too). I have written these 'poems' with the intention of eventually turning them into songs. I do not consider myself a poet by any means, I like to think of myself as a lyricist. The problem though is that I'm not really talented enough as a singer to sing the things I've written. I prefer writing the lyrics and creating the music more than trying to get my voice to sound how I would like. I haven't really tried to find another person to get involved, but I've reached a point where I'm starting to want to. Of course I hope that someone else out there would be interested in what I've written, I'm aware that it's not all that great. Maybe someone out there could offer pointers? If there is anyone out there that has read something I've made and enjoys it, or thinks they can improve it I would like to hear from you. Want to put music to what I've written?
