Stop! - new poem/lyrics

Stop!
We've heard your facts before.
Shouted loud like a lions roar.
Repeated as you wish.
Can't change the historical record.
Just stop.

Stop!
The bickering and namecalling ruse.
The whole nobody's been more critized than you.
Everytime you type.
The more we lose.
Stop, please.

Stop!
Words can inspire actions.
Can be used to invite violence.
Hot heads are childish.
Use your head before offering any kind of response.
Please, stop.

Stop!
Giving each side fuel.
Acting like a bully at school.
Work for all, unify us.
A job well done can't be denied if it's true.
Until then, I beg, please just stop.

short poem?

What happened in a previous life to cause the despair of this one?
These 'demons' in my head tormenting and critiquing my every move.
They lead me to a four way stop.
Instead of choosing a path, I become frozen.
Crippled with fear, of selecting the 'wrong way'.
With the thought of defeat I succumb to failure.
One move and I might win.
I wish I could, but I can't, take that risk.

unfinished poem

I've never felt another city this cold.
Where progress is slammed shut with a resounding no.
Children and adults alike see no use in goals.
Wandering around until death, unfulfilled and old.
If you're lucky you get addicted to meth.
Rot your mind, teeth, and bones.
Having a working brain gets you into trouble.
If you veer away from the right.
You are terrorized by locals.

Misunderstood - unfinished poem

We have no pride in ourselves.
When we're given the ball, we fumble.
We know it's our fault.
We don't blame the elders.
In their eyes, a chance isn't what we deserve.
And there are those that say...

Can you hear me now?
Make me proud.
Life throws us curves, like a highways twists and turns.
You can choose to slow down.

Careful, Anger Repression - Poem

Never taken, nor defeated.
The touch is soft, mild, and weakened.
What's the matter?
Where are the tears?
Of resentment, after so many years.
It's still there.
Inside
Ticking like a timed mine.
Keep it all in, if you dare.
Think of it as liquid, handle with care.

Too Cold - Short Poem

It's too cold to be outside.
The temperature keeps falling.
And peering out the window, the birds have begun to hide.
I so badly want to grab my coat.
Take a walk Downtown.
I crave to see another person.
Another sign of life.

A light - Short Poem

A little sunshine in the room.
What harm can it do?
Let the light wash away.
The fear of a nights face.
A little light.
Is all that it takes for me,
To dispel these thoughts that grab and cripple me.

In the light.
Death doesn't feel so appealing.
With a little light.
Finally begin the healing.

Short stanza inspired by the Struma disaster(hope to add more)

10/18/16

Swim to the north. A little to the east.
Mind the torpedo. And the submarine.
Turn your head around. See the other Jews sink.
Struggling to stay afloat. Watch the drowning of the steel.
Do you remember how it felt still?

A little verse

Without regret, I stroll towards the trees.
Past the lights, the sights, and smells that have protected me.
I crave a challenge. So I welcome the unknown.
Anything to get out of this house. Away from people I'd rather stone.

What?

What to do, oh what to do.
Does anyone know just what to do?

If only life came with a tape, and a manual too.
Maybe then would we know what to do.

The Rays

A big idea. With a little planning.
Our biggest concern should probably be the landing.
Built the ship, flew into space.
Dodged meteors and things on the Solar Highway.
I don't want to hurt aliens, because out here I am one.
I'll aim at the ground, or shoot the sun with my ray gun.

Jump Off 610

We could drive off a cliff. Just find the one you want.
But Houston's rather flat.
May have better luck jumping from a 610 stack.

Or we could leave. Bound for Corpus Christi.
The sun can burn the bad out of us.
While we pitch a tent at the beach.

Fire

I'm told I'm playing with fire. On the heel of some desire.
And I would get burnt.
Everybody told me. What I didn't want to see, and refused to believe.
Didn't want to get hurt.
The time is getting closer. Time to make a decision.
What hurts is the future, it's never met expectations.
