Soon - short little poem

How do you break through?
If everything's against you.
Work twice as hard.
Still can't bust down the wall.
A fake out to the left.
Take a shot from the three point line.
My last name doesn't start with an H.
So I miss every time.
Just when I think.
My luck has finally turned around.
I get clocked in the face.
Ridiculed and shoved all the way back down.
Run around in a circle,stuck in a loop.
Reached the age where time seems to be speeding up.
May as well throw up a white flag.
I'll be forgotten soon.

Plan Of Action - Poem

I want to be alone on an island.
Way out in the Pacific.
Just me and the water.
Coconuts and the fish.
Sleep on the beach every night.
Leaving civilization behind.

No more time for the rat race.
I lost, but I'm just fine.
My plan of action, started out as just a distraction.
Will carry me through the desperate times.

Could move into the forest.
Surrounded by oaks and firs.
All the woodland critters.
Until they become my dinner.
Out of the trees I could try to build a cabin.
Only to find I have no memories to fill it.

No more time for the rat race.
I lost, but I'm just fine.

Will carry me through the desperate times.

There's not a person I would miss.
Nor anyone to tell I'm leaving.
Let the rest of the population fight amongst themselves.
And laugh when they destroy the species.
